Photo Seminar, Detroit, Michigan. Sunday, June 1, 2008 from 10am to 5pm
Presented by Midwest Photography Workshops, this one day seminar will be held in Farmington Hills, a
suburb of Detroit. Jim will show his favorite images and explain how he overcame significant challenges
to get such visually arresting images. He will cover issues like finding and hiring foreign models, traveling
with gear on airplanes (especially long telephotos), overcoming the 'no tripod' prohibition at many
destinations, how he backs up his digital images, and how he arranges to photograph subjects like charging
horses, poison dart frogs, tree sloths, eagles, and more. Jim will talk about using Photoshop to make images
perfect and, in some cases, how he completely transforms what would be useless images into masterpieces
using digital technology.
The fee is $100 with lunch included. For reservations and information, please call 313-804-9266.
